Collage

  1. I like the continuing motif of falling ink in this video, it's very entrancing. I found myself zoning out (in a good way) while watching the first part of the video. I have to say though, that when the clips of the scales and the flowers came up, I was a little bit confused, because the content seemed too non-sequitur. I would find a way to relate those clips to the clips of the water, or to just stick to one motif throughout the video. Nice work!

  2. You definitely created a really neat effects with the colors being poured into the bowl of water.

I think that some of the images are a little too obvious as to what they are and takes away from the abstractness of the video. Something you could consider is to alter the individual clips more in the editor with distorting their color and scale.

  3. This was really cool. I wasn't quite sure what this was at first but as it started becoming less blurry it looked like food coloring spinning and dancing around in a glass. The transition to this was really beautiful when you could see a thin green sheet twirling around and then from there it started becoming more and more interesting. It looked to me like a little person with cloths dancing around in a glass! This was a really original idea and a cool thing to play around with. I really love watching the movement of water and I think with the food coloring (if i am even right about that) you were able to show the movement and express it in a really interesting way. Good job.

  4. This video was very entrancing to watch. I really enjoyed the colors swirling around in water. This video definitely embodies the idea of a collage with the combination of the different elements. I liked the juxtaposition of the water with mechanical and electrical objects in the background. It may have been more interesting if the fades from one thing to the next were more varied but overall it was a cool video.

  5. David!
I really loved this video! The ink is so visually interesting and reminds me of daydreaming. I also love it when the images overlap and you feel like you're seeing different views of the film. It's so cool and shows you really put thought and effort into this video. The colors are also very beautiful and add to the overall mood of the film. Excellent job!
